This is a recognised Tennis Ireland full time coaching course for one year.


Successful graduates can obtain a Level I coaching qualification allowing them to graduate to the I.T.B. Sports Management & Coaching Degree Course.


AIMS: To provide participants with the skills and aptitudes necessary to become Employed in the Sports & Recreation industry and to provide an under-standing of key aspects of leisure activities in Sport  and Recreation

Tennis Ireland  Level 1 (3 modules)
Tennis Skills  FETAC Level 4
Sport & Recreational Studies    FETAC Level 5
Work Experience      FETAC Level 5 
Communications    FETAC Level 5
Information & Communications   FETAC Level 5
Personal Effectiveness in Workplace   FETAC Level 5
Leisure Facility Administration   FETAC Level 5
Occupational First Aid   FETAC Level 5
Code of Ethics for Children’s Sport

 

DURATION  

Full time for  52 weeks  from Sept 2011 to Sept 2012

 

PARTICIPANT PROFILE
Must be registered with FAS, receiving Job Seekers Allowance/Benefits, be Over 16  yrs  with a sporting background and out of the educational system

 

TRAINING & TRAVEL ALLOWANCE 

Paid by FAS relative to eligibility

Malahide Castle,Co.Dublin  Tennis Pavilion & Courts

 

QUALIFICATION
Tennis Ireland Level 1 Coaching Certification
FETAC Level  5 Major Award in Specific Employment Skills.
Order of Malta First Aid.
