Which Coach is for Me?
There are several different levels of coaching qualifications within the Tennis Ireland coaching ladder, all of which serve a different purpose and type of player. If your club is looking for a coach to deal with with players of a particular age/standard the guide below may be of help to you making kyour decision.
The Tennis Ireland Coaching Ladder
Mini Tennis Assistant
A Tennis Ireland Mini Tennis Assistant is qualified to assist a Level 1, 2, or 3 coach during a mini tennis session (not qualified to coach alone)
Midi Tennis Assistant
A Tennis Ireland Midi Tennis Assistant is qualified to assist a Level 1, 2, or 3 coach during a midi tennis session (not qualifed to coach alone)
Level 1 Tennis Coach
A Tennis Ireland Level 1 Coach is qualified to teach beginner to intermediate level players of all ages.
Level 2 Tennis Coach
A Tennis Ireland Level 2 Coach is qualified to teach junior 'open tournament' level players up to 14 years old, and all intermediate to advanced club level players aged 15 and over.
Level 3 Tennis Coach
A Tennis Ireland Level 3 Coach is qualified to teach any player of any standard.
